Delegates from the Northwestern part in Mainland China paid visits to various pre-schools in Hong Kong and attended seminars led by academics and practitioners in early childhood education. The exchange visits were aimed at exposing the Mainland educators to the latest teaching methods, inspiring them to develop and adopt new teaching ideas at their schools in rural parts of Mainland China.
